Set on a challenging, steeply sloping site in one of Nelson Bay’s most sought-after locations, this striking multi-level duplex was designed to maximise its uninterrupted views across the bay.
Bakker Homes was engaged to bring the architectural vision to life, navigating the complexities of the site while maintaining a high level of finish throughout. As construction progressed, Graeme Bakker further developed the outdoor concept, designing two individual swimming pools—one for each residence and level—to create a seamless connection between the living, entertaining and pool areas.
Building on such a difficult site presented significant structural, access and construction challenges, requiring careful planning and practical problem-solving throughout the build. The result is a sophisticated coastal residence where architecture, craftsmanship and considered construction come together beautifully.
