Bakker Homes started on a simple belief: a home should be designed and built by the same people, not passed between hands that never meet.

Thirty years on, Graeme still designs and builds every project to that standard. It is a family business in the real sense, with a daughter studying architecture, one son studying construction management and another already a builder.

Our Story

Bakker Homes started on a simple belief: a home is at its best when design and construction work hand in hand, not passed between people who never meet.

More than thirty years on, Graeme still brings that standard to every project. Some homes he designs and builds himself; others we build from the plans of a client's chosen architect or designer, working closely with them so the vision is carried through to the finished home. Either way, the same care and accountability run from the first conversation to handover.

It is a family business in the real sense, with our eldest son a builder and a building designer, our daughter studying Architecture and our youngest son studying Construction Management and Quantity Surveying.
